"Queensland Odyssey 2004 "
 Continued

Well back at the motel for a shower and we waited out front for the courtesy bus to pick us up and take us out to the show grounds. This was a well organised thing..the bus picked up at all the local accommodation between 4.30p.m. - 6.30p.m. and then in the evening ran us all back from 10.00p.m. 'til midnight. The dining hall was packed for Saturday night dinner and a great social event with friends old and new.
Sunday was a "kick back" kind of a day and a grand parade had been organised for a ride through town terminating at the markets held at the Gunsynd memorial by the MacIntyre River which is the border between Queensland and New South Wales in this part of the state. The towns people were very supportive and again we felt like celebrities with people out in their yards waving and lining the streets.

Well Monday came too quickly and we bid farewell to Goondiwindi with some fond memories and treasured moments.
We decided to take our time on the home ward leg and rode north to Miles via Moonie for some more sightseeing and then on to Dalby where we have friends who manage the Dalby Mid Town Motor Inn  We stayed there with Paul & Wendy and  caught up on all their news.

Tuesday morning saw us only a couple of hours from home, but we weren't in a rush and took in the Jondaryn Woolshed and Rimfire Winery at Maclagan and headed for home via  Cooyar-Yarraman-Kilcoy.

We had a great time and would gladly do it all over again....good weather, good friends, good times...yep life's good and we hope to keep the memories alive through this web site.

Dinner definitely not a formal affair.

Soaking up more of that Sunday sun.

Street parade to the markets.

Everyone took a photo of this.....here's ours.

Jondaryn Woolshed entry
soaking up more of that winter sun.

Winga has found her new home.

Out in the middle of nowhere between Jondaryn & Quinalow.

You just have to take the side roads more often than not.

We stopped at this little establishment at Yarraman
for a nice lunch.
